mecwacare offers respite care in all our aged care homes, providing guests and their carers short breaks and independence. Respite care is best suited for people who are looking for continuous care in a supportive environment.
Respite guests receive the same level of care and access to the same range of services as our permanent residents. They also have their own room and ensuite bathroom.

Terms and Conditions
- Offer valid until February 28, 2025.
- Includes one paid week of respite care, followed by two complimentary weeks, with no Basic Daily Fee or Additional Services Fee during this period when transitioning to permanent care.
- To qualify, payment for the first week must be made upfront or upon arrival (credit card or direct transfer only).
- Clients must hold a valid ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Tool) for respite.
- A minimum of 21 days must be available within the client’s allocated 63 government-funded respite days for this financial year.
- Respite admission must occur on or before February 28, 2025.
- Offer is not available to clients funded through third-party sources.
- Emergency admissions do not qualify for this offer.
- If respite extends beyond three weeks, a Basic Daily Care Fee will apply until transition to permanent care.
- If the client decides not to transition to permanent care, they will be responsible for the full three weeks of respite costs.
- Offer is limited to one use per individual and is subject to availability.
- Offer applicable at the following mecwacare residential aged care homes – Annie’s Court, O’Mara House, Calwell Manor, Noel Miller Centre, Simon Price Centre, John Atchison Centre and Wahroonga.
