This week we were proud to announce our groundbreaking partnership with Australian robotics company Andromeda to introduce Abi, an Australian-first humanoid companion, across our 22 aged care homes.
Abi’s impact has already been evident during a successful trial at two of our facilities, where residents quickly formed bonds with her. Many describe her as feeling like a grandchild — fun, cheeky, and full of energy. Whether engaging in conversation (in one of the 90 languages she speaks), dancing, singing, or playing bingo, Abi captivates attention and provides a source of happiness, particularly for residents living with dementia.
The introduction of Abi across our homes is another step in our digital transformation journey and our on-going commitment to innovation and enhancing the experiences of our staff, residents, and clients. We are confident that Abi will make a meaningful difference in our residents’ lives, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact of this initiative firsthand.
