Governance

mecwacare Governance

At mecwacare, we are dedicated to upholding strong governance practices and running our business with integrity and responsibility. This page outlines the governance charters, policies, and codes of conduct that guide us in maintaining high standards of ethical and transparent operations.

Governance and Policies

The mecwacare Board oversees the organisation’s operations, financial performance, and business strategy, ensuring we deliver quality care to our residents and clients. The Board works to protect stakeholder interests and maintain strong corporate governance across all levels. While the Board delegates day-to-day management to the CEO, it retains responsibility for the overall strategy, governance, and performance of mecwacare.

Ensuring Responsible and Ethical Behaviour

Our core values—Caring, Accountable, Respectful, and Ethical—guide everything we do. These values shape how our employees, volunteers, executives, and directors perform their roles and help us deliver high-quality, respectful and safe care to our residents and clients.

We live these values through:

  • Compassionate and proactive care
  • Professional and responsible conduct
  • Thoughtful and empathetic communication
  • Honest and fair partnerships.

Code of Conduct

mecwacare has a formal Code of Conduct which outlines how we expect our representatives to behave and conduct business in the workplace. All Employees, Contractors, Volunteers, Senior Executives and Directors are expected to comply with the Code of Conduct.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

We value feedback from everyone—residents, clients, families and the wider community. It helps us understand what we’re doing well and where we can improve.

You can share your feedback through our online Feedback form. If you have concerns about our services, you can email us at: complaints@mecwacare.org.au.

All feedback will be handled ethically, timely and confidentially.
